Safeguarding at MHS

Monkseaton High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of all students. Effective safeguarding procedures are in place to support families, students and staff at school.  The Designated Safeguarding Lead is Emily Thompson (Assistant Headteacher) - she can be contacted on Emily.Thompson@monkseaton.org.uk and is supported by a number of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.

We ensure all policies and procedures in respect of safeguarding children and child protection are up to date and in line with the government statutory guidance  Keeping Children Safe in Education. The policies are accessible here.

If you have concerns about the safety or welfare of a child in North Tyneside the Front Door Service is the first point of contact for everyone. You can contact Front Door on 0345 2000 109, for more information https://my.northtyneside.gov.uk/category/488/are-you-worried-about-child
