Fabulous first week
We have thoroughly enjoyed welcoming everyone back from their summer break and in particular, meeting our new Year 9 and Year 12 students. Here are some of our highlights:
Our new rewards system has started brilliantly with over 1500 points being awarded to students across all year groups. Over a third of these have been in recognition of how hard students have been concentrating in class and a further quarter are to congratulate students on the contributions they have made in lessons. Every two weeks, those students with the most individual points will receive an invitation to a Friday celebration; our current leaders have 12 points each, which is a very impressive total from just 10 lessons! We will let you know more about the winners in next week's post.
Year 9 Star of the Week: Emily Forrest
"Emily is my star of the week for her outstanding organisation and preparation. She arrived to school with her own planner, already set out and organised for the school year and has just displayed a fantastic overall attitude to learning so far." Mr Angell-Moir, Pastoral Raising Achievement Leader for Year 9.
