You should choose this course if you have a keen interest in both the world around you and further afield, and want to understand how both physical and human processes have created the world we live in.
The course also has a practical element in terms of undertaking fieldwork, which is examined at AS in an exam and at A Level, through a written Geographical Investigation carried out by the student. There will be at least 4 days fieldwork throughout the course.
Meteorology, Nature conservation, Environmental management, Rural development, Town and country planning, Travel and tourism.
Our students say:
"Geography is never boring as it covers such a wide area. One minute I could be learning about population control policies in China and the next measuring the depth of a river in my wellies!"
