 Spaced Learning: the background

The BBC took an immediate interest in Spaced Learning as described in Chapter 9 of Making Minds.  Paul Kelley originally used the phrase 'gap learning' in Making Minds, and only later came to call it 'spaced learning' after discussing the issue with the scientist Douglas Fields. Originally a lot of press reported spaced learning as 8 minute lessons- which rather misses the point.

Spaced learning is, in essence, learning with spaces in between- as opposed to mass learning- learning without any breaks. Now there are a number of articles about spaced learning- see Spaced Learning on this site.
